I’ve migrated all the old posts and comments over, so everything should be seamless. Now, to just add tags… Done!

I coded this new theme from hand, with influence from CSS Tabs :: Adam Kalsey, as I personally couldn’t get the exact shape I wanted. Once I found that, I smashed it into little pieces and threw most of it away. One little bug is that asides can run into posts, if the posts are shorter than the mini-sidebar. In cases like this, the post should probably be an aside anyway.

Now, I just want to get a proper home page up, since I have a “groovy” idea for it

The WordPress Codex site’s MediaWiki installation is currently on 1.4.8. I was listening to some discussion on the wp-hackers list, so I thought I’d present my guide to upgrading. I must warn you first though, I personally use DokuWiki when I need a wiki, as it’s simpler. Without further adieu…

1. Extract everything in mediawiki-1.11.0/ into your current MediaWiki folder (i.e. replace the files)
2. Delete the following files:

3. Rename LocalSettings.php to LocalSettings.old.php (Important: maintenance/upgrade.php will not work)
4. Run the installer again, with the same options as before
5. Delete config/LocalSettings.php
6. Rename LocalSettings.old.php back to LocalSettings.php
7. Done!

I’m disliking this theme more and more. Although I haven’t had the time to design another one, I do now. I’m going to chuck this theme in the bin and start over.
